When I say curb your cravings for weight loss, I do not mean that you have to eat insipid and boring meals all the time. In fact you tend to regain your weight if you suppress your food cravings. The key to weight loss and staying fit is all about moderation in your eating habits. Similarly you must not go for dieting if you have to work very hard for it.
What I really mean is that you must make a quick weight loss plan and stick to it until you achieve your goal. Let yourself indulge in your favorite foods once in a while but do not stack them up in your refrigerator. Following are some tips that will help you stay off your junk foods.
- Make a Plan: As the old saying goes “You plan to fail if you fail to plan”, you must have your weight loss goals clearly written on a piece of paper. Make a realistic plan and write down how exactly you will follow it in a step by step manner.
- Get rid of Junk foods: As mentioned above you must clean up your refrigerator so that no junk food remains there. Stuff your refrigerator with healthy foods, leafy vegetables, fresh fruits etc.
- Drink Water: Get rid of carbonated drinks as well. Make sure that you start drinking plain water in place of soda or other carbonated drinks.
- Say No To Morning Coffee: Though caffeine gives you instant energy, you must stop drinking your morning cup of coffee. The more caffeine you consume the more you crave for it. Start drinking green tea instead.
- Spice Up Your Food Moderately: Do not stay away from spices. Moderate quantities of spices help you speed up your metabolism. You can add Cayenne Pepper or Cinnamon to your favorite food. It will not only add to the flavor but will also help you burn fat.
- Quit Smoking: It has been observed that smokers consume more salt, sugar and other junk foods simply because smoking kills your taste buds and you start eating more salt. Your taste buds start re-growing when you stop smoking. As a result you satisfy your taste buds without eating excess salt and sugar. Moreover by quitting this habit your caffeine cravings also disappear.
